Local Walk - Village to Village, return by ferry or train

A fabulous walk through the the undulating meadowlands above Windermere, where the view of the Lake District mountains from the top of Orrest Head is simply breathtaking. After passing by the ancient village of Troutbeck, the landscape becomes more rugged as you gradually descend through woodland to link up with a bus or boat at Waterhead or Ambleside. 5 - 5hr
